Images transmitted wirelessly from Steve's "WearCam" may be composited
into a partial environment map using the "video orbits" method
(described in http://wearcam.org/orbits)
which runs on remotely accessed desktop computers.
The resulting image composites allow for shared visual experiences.
For example, friends and relatives might send helpful reminders
via radioteletype, should they happen to be visiting
http://wearcam.org and recognize someone in the picture.  WearCam is a
personal imaging system that forms the basis for wearable tetherless
computer-mediated reality, and might someday provide assistance to the
visually challenged, as well as enhance the quality of our daily lives.
