Initially, I test the communications infrastructure in the classroom
and make sure everything is working
(e.g. that the students are connected into the visual collective
mediated reality space, etc.). A lamp test is provided to ensure
that the cybernetic light source properly modifies the collective
perception of visual reality as seen through the students' eyeglasses:
